Mikayla is so proud to currently be executive producing the film, The Valley beneath Us, by Kofi King. Today, many of us dream of going viral, and Lee's story examines the effects of seeing others as stepping stones rather than complex individuals. Through his journey, we explore how past wounds influence present behavior, spotlighting the overlooked mental health challenges of Black men in America.

Mikayla is currently Associate Producing the podcast, Tanya’s Retail Therapy Podcast hosted by Tanya Young-Williams. This podcast highlights women who are so much more than their fabulous clothes you initially see.

Do You Feel Anger

Mikayla Co-Produced ‘Do You Feel Anger’ with incredible young female producers such as Alysia Giakoumas, Sabina Acrila, and Addison Vaughn. The play showed off-off Broadway in November of 2024. This comedy sheds light on harassment toward women in the workplace.

Mikayla recently worked on the film, Gripped, produced by Alysia Giakoumas. She was brought on to be a production assistant and was able to quickly acquire skills that were beneficial for all production departments. Gripped follows a competitive climber who is consumed by perfection.

Brenda Braxton

Ms. Brenda Braxton hosts a “cabaret talk show” each month at 54 below with guest appearances by her talented and dear friends. Assisting Ms. Brenda and our guest stars is an honor and is a lesson in audience engagement and utter stage presence.

“Cougar the Musical is a madcap ride from Cougar Bar, to nail salon, to boudoir, and back as the women learn to say ‘yes’ to getting older, ‘yes’ to trust and friendship and ‘yes’ to proving that love is ageless.”

More about Mikayla

Mikayla Perry grew up in South Florida and moved to New York at 17 years old. She started acting as a child and found technical production in her early teen years. She attended a middle school of the arts as well as a high school for film and performing arts.

Mikayla began stage managing at her local community theatre which led to an interest in lighting design, directing, and writing in the following years.

Since moving to New York, Mikayla has learned from some incredible women who are forces to be reckoned with - especially in their careers. She draws inspiration for project creation from every one of her mentors. Being a young creative, she is passionate about helping all who come next in this world and in this industry to have safe spaces to vocalize what they need from us. Mikayla has dedicated her career to bringing more representation to the stage and to the screen. She loves people, storytelling, and artists who share that in common.
