QUEER OF HEART

More about Mikayla

Mikayla Perry grew up in South Florida and moved to New York at 17 years old. She started acting as a child and found technical production in her early teen years. She attended a middle school of the arts as well as a high school for film and performing arts.

Mikayla began stage managing at her local community theatre which led to an interest in lighting design, directing, and writing in the following years.

Since moving to New York, Mikayla has learned from some incredible women who are forces to be reckoned with - especially in their careers. She draws inspiration for project creation from every one of her mentors. Being a young creative, she is passionate about helping all who come next in this world and in this industry to have safe spaces to vocalize what they need from us. Mikayla has dedicated her career to bringing more representation to the stage and to the screen. She loves people, storytelling, and artists who share that in common.
